Stat. tit. 21, § 21-275","heading":"Reward for making appointment or deputation","body":"Any public officer who, for any gratuity or reward, appoints\n\nanother person to a public office, or permits another person to\n\nexercise, perform or discharge any of the prerogatives or duties of\n\nhis office, shall be guilty of a Class D3 felony offense punishable\n\nby imprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of\n\nSection 20P of this title, and by a fine of not less than Two\n\nHundred Dollars ($200.00) or more than One Thousand Dollars\n\n($1,000.00); and in addition thereto the public officer forfeits\n\noffice.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2158.
