Stat. tit. 21, § 21-309","heading":"Soliciting bribes - Trading votes","body":"Any member of either of the houses composing the Legislature,\n\nwho asks, receives or agrees to receive any bribe upon any\n\nunderstanding that his official vote, opinion, judgment or action\n\nshall be influenced thereby, or shall be given in any manner or upon\n\nany particular side of any question or matter upon which he may be\n\nrequired to act in his official capacity, or who gives, or offers or\n\npromises to give any official vote in consideration that another\n\nmember of the Legislature shall give any such vote, either upon the\n\nsame or another question, is guilty of a Class C2 felony offense\n\npunishable by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B through\n\nF of Section 20M of this title, or by a fine not exceeding Five\n\nThousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2171.
