Except as otherwise provided in this section, every public\n\nofficer, being authorized to sell or lease any property, or make,\n\napprove, negotiate, or authorize any contract in his or her official\n\ncapacity, who voluntarily becomes interested individually in such\n\nsale, lease or contract, directly or indirectly, shall, upon\n\nconviction, be guilty of a felony and shall be prohibited from\n\nholding any public office in this state. Violation of this section\n\nshall be grounds for removal from office or termination from state\n\nemployment.\n\nB. The provisions of this section shall not apply to:\n\n1. Municipal officers who are subject to the provisions of\n\nSection 8-113 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and\n\n2.
