Stat. tit. 21, § 21-521","heading":"Rescuing prisoners","body":"Any person who by force or fraud rescues or attempts to rescue,\n\nor aids another person in rescuing or in attempting to rescue, any\n\nprisoner from any officer or other person having him in lawful\n\ncustody, is punishable as follows:\n\n1. If such prisoner was in custody upon a charge or conviction\n\nof a felony, such person shall be guilty of a Class B1 felony\n\noffense and shall be punished by imprisonment in the State\n\nPenitentiary for not less than ten (10) years; or\n\n2. If such prisoner was in custody otherwise than upon a charge\n\nor conviction of a felony, by imprisonment in a county jail not\n\nexceeding one (1) year, or by fine not exceeding Five Hundred\n\nDollars ($500.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2194.
