Stat. tit. 21, § 21-532","heading":"Permitting escapes","body":"\n\nAny sheriff, coroner, clerk of a court, constable or other\n\nministerial officer and any deputy or subordinate of any ministerial\n\nofficer, who either:\n\n1. Willfully or carelessly allows any person lawfully held by\n\nhim in custody to escape or go at large, except as may be permitted\n\nby law; or\n\n2. Receives any gratuity or reward, or any security or promise\n\nof one, to procure, assist, connive at or permit any prisoner in his\n\ncustody to escape, whether such escape is attempted or not; or\n\n3. Commits any unlawful act tending to hinder justice,\n\nshall be guilty of a Class B2 felony offense.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2244. Amended by Laws 1997, c. 133, § 208, eff.
