Stat. tit. 21, § 21-565","heading":"Contempts, direct and indirect – Definitions","body":"Contempts of court shall be divided into direct and indirect\n\ncontempts. Direct contempts shall consist of disorderly or insolent\n\nbehavior committed during the session of the court and in its\n\nimmediate view, and presence, and of the unlawful and willful\n\nrefusal of any person to be sworn as a witness, and the refusal to\n\nanswer any legal or proper question; and any breach of the peace,\n\nnoise or disturbance, so near to it as to interrupt its proceedings,\n\nshall be deemed direct contempt of court, and may be summarily\n\npunished as hereinafter provided for.
