Stat. tit. 21, § 21-566","heading":"Direct or indirect contempt - Penalties - Cases involving","body":"failure to comply with court orders regarding children.\n\nA. Unless otherwise provided for by law, punishment for direct\n\nor indirect contempt shall be by the imposition of a fine in a sum\n\nnot exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in\n\nthe county jail not exceeding six (6) months, or by both, at the\n\ndiscretion of the court.\n\nB. Any court in this state has the power to enforce an order\n\nfor current child support, past-due child support and child support\n\narrearage payments, other support, visitation, or other court orders\n\nregarding minor children and to punish an individual for failure to\n\ncomply therewith, as set forth in subsection A of this section.\n\nVenue for an action under this section is proper, at the option of\n\nthe petitioner:\n\n1. In the county in this state in which the support order was\n\nentered, docketed or registered;\n\n2. In the county in this state in which the obligee resides; or\n\n3.
