Every person who, without justifiable or excusable cause,\n\nknowingly commits any assault, battery or assault and battery upon\n\nthe person of an employee of a facility maintained by the Office of\n\nJuvenile Affairs, a facility maintained by a private contractor\n\npursuant to a contract with the Office of Juvenile Affairs primarily\n\nfor delinquent children, a juvenile detention center, or a juvenile\n\nbureau, while the employee is in the performance of his duties,\n\nshall upon conviction thereof be guilty of a Class B6 felony\n\noffense.\n\nB.
