Homicide is also justifiable when committed by any person in\n\nany of the following cases:\n\n1. When resisting any attempt to murder such person, or to\n\ncommit any felony upon him, or upon or in any dwelling house in\n\nwhich such person is;\n\n2. When committed in the lawful defense of such person or of\n\nanother, when the person using force reasonably believes such force\n\nis necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or\n\nherself or another or to terminate or prevent the commission of a\n\nforcible felony; or\n\n3. When necessarily committed in attempting, by lawful ways and\n\nmeans, to apprehend any person for any felony committed; or in\n\nlawfully suppressing any riot; or in lawfully keeping and preserving\n\nthe peace.\n\nB. As used in this section, \"forcible felony\" means any felony\n\nwhich involves the use or threat of physical force or violence\n\nagainst any person.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 2334.
