Subject to subsections C and D of this section in addition\n\nto any other powers vested by law, a peace officer of the State of\n\nOklahoma as used in this section may enforce the criminal laws of\n\nthis state throughout the territorial bounds of this state, under\n\nthe following circumstances:\n\n1. In response to an emergency involving an immediate threat to\n\nhuman life or property;\n\n2. Upon the prior consent of the head of a state law\n\nenforcement agency, the sheriff or the chief of police in whose\n\ninvestigatory or territorial jurisdiction the exercise of the powers\n\noccurs;\n\n3. In response to a request for assistance pursuant to a mutual\n\nlaw enforcement assistance agreement with the agency of\n\ninvestigatory or territorial jurisdiction;\n\n4. In response to the request for assistance by a peace officer\n\nwith investigatory or territorial jurisdiction; or\n\n5. While the peace officer is transporting a prisoner.\n\nB. While serving as peace officers of the State of Oklahoma and\n\nrendering assistance under the circumstances enumerated above, peace\n\nofficers shall have the same powers and duties as though employed by\n\nand shall be deemed to be acting within the scope of authority of\n\nthe law enforcement agency in whose or under whose investigatory or\n\nterritorial jurisdiction they are serving. Salaries, insurance and\n\nother benefits shall not be the responsibility of a law enforcement\n\nagency that is not the employing agency for the peace officer.\n\nC. A municipal peace officer may exercise authority provided by\n\nthis section only if the peace officer acts pursuant to policies and\n\nprocedures adopted by the municipal governing body.\n\nD. A Bureau of Indian Affairs law enforcement officer or a\n\ntribal law enforcement officer of a federally recognized Indian\n\ntribe who has been commissioned by the Federal Bureau of Indian\n\nAffairs and has been certified by the Council on Law Enforcement\n\nEducation and Training shall have state police powers to enforce\n\nstate laws on fee land purchased by a federally recognized American\n\nIndian tribe or in Indian country, as defined in Section 1151 of\n\nTitle 18 of the United States Code.\n\nE.
