Stat. tit. 22, § 22-1081","heading":"Commencement of proceeding","body":"A proceeding is commenced by filing a verified \"application for\n\npost-conviction relief\" with the clerk of the court imposing\n\njudgment if an appeal is not pending. When such a proceeding arises\n\nfrom the revocation of parole or conditional release, the proceeding\n\nshall be commenced by filing a verified \"application for post-\n\nconviction relief\" with the clerk of the district court in the\n\ncounty in which the parole or conditional release was revoked. Facts\n\nwithin the personal knowledge of the applicant and the authenticity\n\nof all documents and exhibits included in or attached to the\n\napplication must be sworn to affirmatively as true and correct. The\n\nCourt of Criminal Appeals may prescribe the form of the application\n\nand verification.
