Stat. tit. 22, § 22-177","heading":"Verbal warning or arrest for misdemeanor charges in","body":"another county.\n\nIf the offense charged in the warrant be a misdemeanor and the\n\ndefendant comes in contact with a law enforcement officer in another\n\ncounty, the law enforcement officer may:\n\n1. Issue a verbal warning about the existence of the warrant\n\nand further advise the defendant to contact the clerk of the court\n\nfor the purpose of resolving the outstanding warrant. All verbal\n\nwarnings shall be documented by the law enforcement officer on a\n\ndepartment-issued warning ticket; or\n\n2.
