Stat. tit. 22, § 22-252","heading":"Defendant allowed counsel - Messages to counsel - Change","body":"of venue.\n\nHe must also allow to the defendant a reasonable time to send\n\nfor counsel, and adjourn the examination for that purpose; and must,\n\nupon the request of the defendant, require a peace officer to take a\n\nmessage to such counsel in the county or city as the defendant may\n\nname.
