The Administrative Director of the Courts, upon receipt of\n\nthe State Supreme Court order convening a multicounty grand jury,\n\nshall prepare a list of up to two hundred prospective jurors drawn\n\nfrom the current grand jury lists of the several counties designated\n\nin the order.\n\nB. A multicounty grand jury shall be comprised of the same\n\nnumber of members having the same qualifications as provided by law\n\nfor a county grand jury; provided, however, not more than one-half\n\n(1/2) of the members of a multicounty grand jury shall be residents\n\nof any one county.\n\nC. Where an electronic jury management system has been\n\nauthorized for use in the courts pursuant to Section 13 of this act,\n\nthe Administrative Director of the Courts is authorized to select\n\nand summon multicounty grand jurors utilizing the automated\n\nfunctionality provided in the jury management system.\n\nD. The process of impaneling the multicounty grand jury shall\n\nbe conducted under the supervision and control of the judge\n\npresiding over the multicounty grand jury and may be conducted in\n\nthe same manner as is provided by law for impanelment of county\n\ngrand and petit juries using the electronic jury management system.\n\nE. Whenever the approved electronic jury management system is\n\nused to randomly select and sequentially order juror names during\n\nany step in the multicounty grand jury selection process, the laws\n\nrelating to the use of a jury wheel, and laws requiring paper\n\nballots drawn from a jury wheel or a shaken box, shall not apply,\n\nincluding but not limited to those requirements set forth in\n\nSections 301 through 363 and Sections 591 through 693 of this title.","path":["OK Code","Title 22"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os22.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"85cf6f084dc9bb2cd16c6f8424d63ad5edd8cb8565ae3f89ab527fafd95d468b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-22-22-358","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-22-22-36"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
