If the defendant is brought before a magistrate of another\n\ncounty for the purpose of giving bail, the magistrate must proceed\n\nin respect thereto, in the same manner as if the defendant had been\n\nbrought before the magistrate upon a warrant of arrest, and the same\n\nproceedings may be had thereon.\n\nB. If a defendant is confined in a county jail, municipal jail,\n\nor a jail operated by a regional jail authority, and the defendant\n\nhas a request to hold in custody from another jurisdiction within\n\nthe state, the defendant may post a bond in the other jurisdiction\n\nto release the hold.
