If the books, papers or documents be required, a direction\n\nto the following effect must be continued in the subpoena:\n\nAnd you are required also to bring with you the following:\n\n(Describe intelligently the books, papers or documents required).\n\nB. A subpoena duces tecum may be issued by a defendant to a\n\nbusiness or commercial entity for production of books, papers,\n\ndocuments, or recordings to be provided to the defendant at a time\n\nand place certain.\n\nC. The court clerk shall issue a subpoena duces tecum\n\nauthorized by the provisions of subsection B of this section, signed\n\nand sealed but otherwise blank, to a party requesting it, who shall\n\ncomplete the subpoena before service. As an officer of the court,\n\nan attorney authorized to practice law in this state may also issue\n\nand sign a subpoena duces tecum authorized by the provisions of\n\nsubsection B of this section on behalf of a court in this state.\n\nD.
