Stat. tit. 22, § 22-846","heading":"Disposition of prisoner where jurisdiction in another","body":"county.\n\nIf the offense was committed within the exclusive jurisdiction\n\nof another county of this state, the court must direct the defendant\n\nto be committed for such time as it deems reasonable to await a\n\nwarrant from the proper county for his arrest, or if the offense be\n\na misdemeanor only, it may admit him to bail in an undertaking, with\n\nsufficient sureties, that he will, within such time as the court may\n\nappoint, render himself amenable to a warrant for his arrest from\n\nthe proper county, and if not sooner arrested thereon, will attend\n\nat the office of the sheriff of the county where the trial was had,\n\nat a time particularly specified in the undertaking, to surrender\n\nhimself upon the warrant, if issued, or that his bail will forfeit\n\nsuch sum as the court may fix, and to be mentioned in the\n\nundertaking; and the clerk must forthwith transmit a certified copy\n\nof the indictment or information, and all the papers in the action\n\nfiled with him, to the district attorney of the proper county, the\n\nexpense of which transmission is chargeable to the county.","path":["OK Code","Title 22"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os22.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"06633f80ac1c7867551145767cf6a7c3e77ad892f8d682633b1d9da6669dc60b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-22-22-845","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-22-22-847"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
