Stat. tit. 22, § 22-856","heading":"Requisites of charge of court - Presentation of written","body":"charge - Request to charge - Endorsement of disposition on charge\n\npresented - Partial refusal.\n\nIn charging the jury, the court must state to them all matters\n\nof law which it thinks necessary for their information in giving\n\ntheir verdict, and if it state the testimony of the case, it must in\n\naddition inform the jury that they are the exclusive judges of all\n\nquestions of fact. Either party may present to the court any\n\nwritten charge and request that it be given. If the court thinks it\n\ncorrect and pertinent, it must be given; if not, it must be refused.\n\nUpon each charge presented and given or refused the court must\n\nendorse or sign its decision.
