Stat. tit. 22, § 22-918","heading":"Jury may reconsider verdict of conviction for mistake of","body":"law - Return of same verdict.\n\nWhen there is a verdict of conviction in which it appears to the\n\ncourt that the jury have mistaken the law, the court may explain the\n\nreason for that opinion, and direct the jury to reconsider their\n\nverdict, and if, after the reconsideration, they return the same\n\nverdict, it must be entered.
