Stat. tit. 23, § 23-10","heading":"Recovery of damages by political subdivisions from parents","body":"of children under age of eighteen.\n\nA. The state or any county, city, town, municipal corporation\n\nor school district, or any person, corporation or organization,\n\nshall be entitled to recover damages in a court of competent\n\njurisdiction from a parent or parents of any child under the age of\n\neighteen (18) years when the child is living with the parent or\n\nparents at the time of the act, and commits any criminal or\n\ndelinquent act resulting in bodily injury to any person or damage to\n\nor larceny of any property, real, personal or mixed, belonging to\n\nthe state or a county, city, town, municipal corporation, school\n\ndistrict, person, corporation or organization. The amount of\n\ndamages awarded pursuant to this subsection shall not exceed Two\n\nThousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00).\n\nB.
