This act does not prevent a consumer reporting agency from\n\ncharging a fee of no more than Ten Dollars ($10.00) to a consumer\n\nfor each freeze, removal of the freeze, or temporary lifting of the\n\nfreeze for a period of time, regarding access to a consumer credit\n\nreport.\n\nB. A consumer reporting agency shall not charge any fee to:\n\n1. A victim of identity theft who has submitted, at the time\n\nthe security freeze is requested, a copy of a valid investigative or\n\nincident report or complaint with a law enforcement agency about the\n\nunlawful use of the victim’s identifying information by another\n\nperson; or\n\n2. A consumer sixty-five (65) years of age or older for the\n\ninitial placement and removal of a security freeze.\n\nC. If a security freeze is in place, a consumer reporting\n\nagency shall not change any of the following official information in\n\na consumer report without sending a written confirmation of the\n\nchange to the consumer within thirty (30) days of the change being\n\nposted to the file of the consumer:\n\n1. Name;\n\n2. Date of birth;\n\n3. Social security number; and\n\n4. Address.\n\nD. Written confirmation is not required for technical\n\nmodifications of official information of a consumer, including name\n\nand street abbreviations, complete spellings, or transposition of\n\nnumbers or letters.
