Stat. tit. 24, § 24-157","heading":"Entities not required to place security freeze","body":"The following entities are not required to place a security\n\nfreeze on a consumer report:\n\n1. A consumer reporting agency that acts only as a reseller of\n\ncredit information by assembling and merging information contained\n\nin the database of another consumer reporting agency or multiple\n\nconsumer reporting agencies, and does not maintain a permanent\n\ndatabase of credit information from which new consumer reports are\n\nproduced. However, a consumer reporting agency acting as a reseller\n\nshall honor any security freeze placed on a consumer report by\n\nanother consumer reporting agency;\n\n2. A check services or fraud prevention services company, which\n\nissues reports on incidents of fraud or authorizations for the\n\npurpose of approving or processing negotiable instruments,\n\nelectronic funds transfers, or similar methods of payments; or\n\n3.
