Stat. tit. 24, § 24-34","heading":"Assignments void in certain cases","body":"An assignment for the benefit of creditors is void against any\n\ncreditor of the assignor not assenting thereto, in the following\n\ncases:\n\n1. If it tend to coerce any creditor to release or compromise\n\nhis demand.\n\n2. If it provide for the payment of any claim known to the\n\nassignor to be false or fraudulent; or for the payment of more upon\n\nany claim than is known to be justly due from the assignor.\n\n3. If it reserve any interest in the assigned property, or in\n\nany part thereof, to the assignor, or for his benefit, before all\n\nhis existing debts are paid, other than property exempt by law from\n\nexecution.\n\n4. If it confer upon the assignee any power which, if\n\nexercised, might prevent or delay the immediate conversion of the\n\nassigned property to the purposes of the trust.\n\n5.
