Stat. tit. 25, § 25-110","heading":"Affidavit as to suspension - Resumption of publication","body":"When the owner or principal owner of any newspaper in this state\n\ndetermines that he shall enter the Armed Forces of the United States\n\nto serve in the war against Germany, Italy and Japan, or during a\n\nstate of national emergency as declared by the President of the\n\nUnited States, and that by reason thereof it is determined that the\n\npublication of the newspaper of which he is owner or principal owner\n\nmust suspend publication, such owner or principal owner may file\n\nwith the court clerk of the county in which said newspaper is\n\nlocated, an affidavit setting forth the fact, and said affidavit\n\nshall be docketed and recorded by the court clerk in the manner of\n\ncases filed in the district court; and any time such owner or\n\nprincipal owner desires to resume publication of such suspended\n\nnewspaper, he may file an application with a district judge of the\n\ncounty in which such newspaper is printed, which application shall\n\nstate the date when said newspaper was suspended and the reason\n\ntherefor and pray for an order of the district court authorizing\n\nthat said newspaper resume publication without loss of status as a\n\nlegal publication. Upon a hearing and proper showing of fact before\n\na judge of the district court of said county, the judge of the\n\ndistrict court may issue an order finding that said newspaper has\n\ncomplied with the provisions of this act and ordering that said\n\nnewspaper upon resuming publication shall have the same legal status\n\nas it possessed before such involuntary suspension of such\n\nnewspaper. The application and court order provided for herein\n\nshall be docketed and recorded in the same manner as the affidavit\n\noriginally filed. The court clerk shall collect no fee for filing\n\nand recording the papers required under the provisions of this act;\n\nand providing further that when any newspaper resumes publication\n\nupon the order of the court as provided herein, the original\n\nsubscription list and circulation list used by said newspaper shall\n\nbe used by said owner or principal owner in reestablishing its\n\npublication.","path":["OK Code","Title 25"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os25.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"002c1c868cf6089dac75783c87a54e285d577592340bf1998113cfa83446eb23","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-25-25-11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-25-25-1101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
