Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle shall:\n\n1. Prohibit a religious organization, association, or society,\n\nor any nonprofit institution or organization operated, supervised,\n\nor controlled by or in conjunction with a religious organization,\n\nassociation, or society, from limiting the sale, rental, or\n\noccupancy of housing which it owns or operates for other than a\n\ncommercial purpose to persons of the same religion, or from giving\n\npreferences to such persons, unless membership in such religion is\n\nrestricted on account of race, color, or national origin. Nor shall\n\nanything in Sections 1451, 1452, 1453, 1501 and 1505.1 of this title\n\napply to a private membership club which is a bona fide club and\n\nwhich is exempt from taxation pursuant to Section 501(c) of the\n\nInternal Revenue Code of 1954;\n\n2. Prohibit a religious organization, association, or society,\n\nor a nonprofit institution or organization operated, supervised, or\n\ncontrolled by or in conjunction with a religious organization,\n\nassociation, or society, from:\n\na. limiting the sale, rental, or occupancy of dwellings\n\nthat it owns or operates for other than a commercial\n\npurpose to persons of the same religion, or\n\nb. giving preference to persons of the same religion,\n\nunless membership in the religion is restricted\n\nbecause of race, color, or national origin; or\n\n3. Prohibit a private club not open to the public that, as an\n\nincident to its primary purpose, provides lodging that it owns or\n\noperates for other than a commercial purpose from limiting the\n\nrental or occupancy of that lodging to its members or from giving\n\npreference to its members.\n\nB. Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle relating to familial status applies to housing for older\n\npersons. As used in this section, \"housing for older persons\" means\n\nhousing:\n\n1. That the Attorney General's Office of Civil Rights\n\nEnforcement determines is specifically designed and operated to\n\nassist elderly persons pursuant to a federal or state program;\n\n2. Intended for, and solely occupied by, persons sixty-two (62)\n\nyears of age or older; or\n\n3. Intended and operated for occupancy by at least one person\n\nfifty-five (55) years of age or older per unit as determined by\n\nrules of the Attorney General's Office of Civil Rights Enforcement.\n\nC. 1. Subject to division (2) of subparagraph a of this\n\nparagraph, Sections 1451 through 1453 of this title do\n\nnot apply to:\n\na. the sale or rental of a single-family house sold or\n\nrented by an owner if:\n\n(1) the owner does not:\n\n(a) own more than three single-family houses at\n\nany one time, or\n\n(b) own any interest in, or is there owned or\n\nreserved on his or her behalf, pursuant to\n\nany express or voluntary agreement, title to\n\nor any right to any part of the proceeds\n\nfrom the sale or rental of more than three\n\nsingle-family houses at any one time, and\n\n(2) the house was sold or rented without:\n\n(a) the use of the sales or rental facilities or\n\nservices of a real estate broker, agent, or\n\nsalesman licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nReal Estate License Code, or of an employee\n\nor agent of a licensed broker, agent, or\n\nsalesman, or the facilities or services of\n\nthe owner of a dwelling designed or intended\n\nfor occupancy by five or more families, or\n2) the house was sold or rented without:\n\n(a) the use of the sales or rental facilities or\n\nservices of a real estate broker, agent, or\n\nsalesman licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nReal Estate License Code, or of an employee\n\nor agent of a licensed broker, agent, or\n\nsalesman, or the facilities or services of\n\nthe owner of a dwelling designed or intended\n\nfor occupancy by five or more families, or\n\n(b) the publication, posting, or mailing of a\n\nnotice, statement, or advertisement\n\nprohibited by Section 1452 of this title, or\n\nb. the sale or rental of rooms or units in a dwelling\n\ncontaining living quarters occupied or intended to be\n\noccupied by no more than four families living\n\nindependently of each other, if the owner maintains\n\nand occupies one of the living quarters as the owner's\n\nresidence.\n\n2. The exemption in subparagraph a of paragraph 1 of this\n\nsubsection applies to only one sale or rental in a twenty-four-month\n\nperiod, if the owner was not the most recent resident of the house\n\nat the time of the sale or rental.\n\nD. Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle shall prohibit a person engaged in the business of furnishing\n\nappraisals of real property from taking into consideration factors\n\nother than race, color, age, religion, gender, disability, familial\n\nstatus, or national origin.\n\nE. Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle shall affect a reasonable local or state restriction on the\n\nmaximum number of occupants permitted to occupy a dwelling or\n\nrestriction relating to health or safety standards.\n\nF. Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle shall prevent or restrict the sale, lease, rental, transfer,\n\nor development of housing designed or intended for the use of the\n\ndisabled.\n\nG. Nothing provided for in Sections 1451 through 1453 of this\n\ntitle shall affect a requirement of nondiscrimination in any other\n\nstate or federal law.\n\nH.
