Stat. tit. 25, § 25-1506.6","heading":"Civil action relating to pattern of discrimination or","body":"issue of general public importance - Remedies - Persons who may\n\nintervene.\n\nA. On request of the Commission, the Attorney General may file\n\na civil action in district court for appropriate relief if the\n\nCommission has reasonable cause to believe that:\n\n1. a person is engaged in pattern or practice of resistance to\n\nthe full enjoyment of any right granted by this act; or\n\n2. a person has been denied any right granted by this act and\n\nthat denial raises an issue of general public importance.\n\nB. In an action pursuant to this section the court may:\n\n1. award preventive relief, including a permanent or temporary\n\ninjunctive, restraining order, or other order against the person\n\nresponsible for a violation of this act as necessary to assure the\n\nfull enjoyment of the rights granted by this act;\n\n2. award other appropriate relief, including monetary damages,\n\nreasonable attorneys fees, and court costs; and\n\n3. to vindicate the public interest, assess a civil penalty\n\nagainst the respondent in an amount that does not exceed:\n\na. Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), for a first\n\nviolation, and\n\nb. One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), for a\n\nsecond or subsequent violation.\n\nC.
