A person commits an offense if the person, whether or not\n\nacting under color of law, by force or threat of force,\n\nintentionally intimidates or interferes with a person:\n\n1. Because of the person's race, color, religion, gender,\n\ndisability, familial status, or national origin and because the\n\nperson is or has been selling, purchasing, renting, financing,\n\noccupying, contracting, or negotiating for the sale, purchase,\n\nrental, financing, or occupation of any dwelling, or applying for or\n\nparticipating in a service, organization, or facility relating to\n\nthe business of selling or renting dwellings; or\n\n2. Because the person is or has been, or has attempted to\n\nintimidate the person from:\n\na. participating, without discrimination because of race,\n\ncolor, religion, gender, disability, familial status,\n\nor national origin, in an activity, service,\n\norganization, or facility described in paragraph 1 of\n\nthis subsection,\n\nb. affording another person opportunity or protection to\n\nso participate, or\n\nc. lawfully aiding or encouraging other persons to\n\nparticipate, without discrimination because of race,\n\ncolor, religion, gender, disability, familial status,\n\nor national origin, in an activity, service,\n\norganization, or facility described in paragraph 1 of\n\nthis subsection.\n\nB.
