Stat. tit. 25, § 25-82.2","heading":"Additional holidays - Acts performable - Optional closing","body":"by banks and offices.\n\nThe following additional days are designated as holidays:\n\nJefferson Day on the 13th day of April; Oklahoma Day on the 22nd\n\nday of April; Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May; Juneteenth\n\nNational Freedom Day on the third Saturday in June; Indian Day on\n\nthe first Saturday after the full moon in September; Cherokee Strip\n\nDay on the 16th day of September; Will Rogers Day on the 4th day of\n\nNovember; Citizenship Recognition Day on such date as may be fixed\n\nby the Governor; Oklahoma Historical Day on the 10th day of October;\n\nSenior Citizens' Week beginning with the first Sunday in the month\n\nof May; Senior Citizens' Day the Wednesday of Senior Citizens' Week;\n\nGrandparents' Week beginning with the second Sunday in September;\n\nYouth Day on the third Sunday in March each year; each day in which\n\na state election is held throughout the State of Oklahoma; and such\n\nother days as may be designated by the President of the United\n\nStates or the Governor of the State of Oklahoma. Notwithstanding\n\nthe day designated for Veterans' Day by Section 82.1 of this title,\n\nany bank, savings and loan association or credit union may observe\n\nthe fourth Monday in October as Veterans' Day. Any act authorized,\n\nrequired or permitted to be performed on any holiday as designated\n\nin this section may and shall be performed on said day the same as\n\non any business day; provided any state, national or federal reserve\n\nbank, building and loan association, credit union, state, federal,\n\ncounty or municipal office may close on any day designated in this\n\nsection as a holiday, and, upon such bank, building and loan\n\nassociation, credit union, or public office being closed on such\n\nday, any act authorized, required or permitted to be performed at or\n\nby such bank, building and loan association, credit union, public\n\noffice or public official may be performed on the next succeeding\n\nbusiness day and no liability or loss of rights of any kind shall\n\nresult from such delay.","path":["OK Code","Title 25"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os25.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5fabb3c40627950557b0d7f8961aad1ffc44761f490fd055bd3159f39bb008d2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-25-25-82.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-25-25-82.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
