Stat. tit. 26, § 26-1-102","heading":"Primary elections","body":"\n\nA Primary Election shall be held on the third Tuesday in June of\n\neach even-numbered year, at which time each political party\n\nrecognized by the laws of this state shall nominate its candidates\n\nfor the offices to be filled at the next succeeding General Election\n\nunless otherwise provided by law. No candidate’s name shall be\n\nprinted upon the General Election ballot unless such candidate shall\n\nhave been nominated as herein provided, unless otherwise provided by\n\nlaw; provided further that this provision shall not exclude the\n\nright of a nonpartisan candidate to have his or her name printed\n\nupon the General Election ballots.
