The following procedure shall be observed for Presidential\n\nElectors pledged to an independent candidate for President of the\n\nUnited States:\n\n1. A person wishing to appear on the General Election ballot as\n\nan independent candidate for President of the United States shall\n\nfile a Statement of Candidacy with the Secretary of the State\n\nElection Board no later than July 15 of a presidential election\n\nyear;\n\n2. a. the Statement of Candidacy shall be in a form to be\n\nprescribed by the Secretary of the State Election\n\nBoard, and shall include the candidate's full legal\n\nname, the candidate's address of residence, the\n\ncandidate's mailing address, the name of the candidate\n\nas it should appear on the ballot and any other\n\ninformation required by the Secretary of the State\n\nElection Board,\n\nb. the candidate shall swear an oath or affirm on the\n\nStatement of Candidacy that the candidate meets the\n\nqualifications for President of the United States set\n\nforth in the Constitution of the United States, and\n\nthe candidate's signature shall be witnessed by a\n\nnotary public;\n\n3. The Statement of Candidacy shall be accompanied by a\n\ncertification of the name and address of residence for each\n\ncandidate for Presidential Elector pledged to the independent\n\ncandidate for President of the United States. The number of\n\nelectors so certified shall be equal to the number apportioned to\n\nthe State of Oklahoma pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 of\n\nArticle II of the United States Constitution. Each candidate for\n\nPresidential Elector so nominated shall subscribe to an oath\n\nprescribed by the Secretary of the State Election Board, which shall\n\nbe in the same manner, substance and form as the oath described in\n\nSection 10-102 of this title;\n\n4. a. the Statement of Candidacy shall be accompanied by a\n\npetition supporting a candidate's filing,\n\nb. the form of the petition shall be prescribed by the\n\nSecretary of the State Election Board. Each page of\n\nthe petition must contain the names of registered\n\nvoters from a single county,\n\nc. the petition shall bear the same number of signatures\n\nof registered voters that is required to form a\n\nrecognized political party as described in Section 1-\n\n108 of this title,\n\nd. within thirty (30) days after receipt of the petition,\n\nthe Secretary of the State Election Board shall\n\ndetermine the sufficiency of the petition,\n\ne. in lieu of the petition required by this subsection, a\n\nfiling fee for each Presidential Elector committed to\n\nthe independent candidate for President of the United\n\nStates may be submitted in the form of a cashier's\n\ncheck or certified check made payable to the Secretary\n\nof the State Election Board. The filing fee for each\n\nPresidential Elector shall be in an amount equal to\n\nthe filing fee described in Section 20-102 of this\n\ntitle. The sum of the filing fees for each\n\nPresidential Elector may be paid in a single cashier's\n\ncheck or certified check. The filing fees shall be\n\ndeposited in the State Election Board Revolving Fund\n\ncreated pursuant to Section 3-107 of this title; and\n\n5. If the requirements set forth in this section are found by\n\nthe Secretary of the State Election Board to be sufficient, then the\n\nindependent candidate for President of the United States shall be\n\nqualified to appear on the General Election ballot. The candidate\n\nshall certify to the Secretary of the State Election Board the name\n\nof the candidate's Vice Presidential running mate no later than the\n\ndeadline established in Section 10-101 of this title for the\n\ncertification by a recognized political party of its nominee for\n\nVice President of the United States.\n\nB. A political party not recognized under the laws of the\n\nState of Oklahoma may place its nominees for President of the United\n\nStates, Vice President of the United States and Presidential\n\nElectors on the ballot subject to the same requirements,\nblished in Section 10-101 of this title for the\n\ncertification by a recognized political party of its nominee for\n\nVice President of the United States.\n\nB. A political party not recognized under the laws of the\n\nState of Oklahoma may place its nominees for President of the United\n\nStates, Vice President of the United States and Presidential\n\nElectors on the ballot subject to the same requirements,\n\nrestrictions and deadlines as provided for an independent candidate\n\nfor President of the United States.
