Stat. tit. 26, § 26-11-106","heading":"Certification","body":"If a Declaration of Candidacy is filed, an election held, and no\n\ncontest thereto is filed, the State Election Board shall certify the\n\nresult to the Secretary of State by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday next following\n\nthe General Election. If a contest is filed, the result shall be\n\ncertified to the Secretary of State either when the contest is\n\ndetermined or when it has been abandoned.
