Stat. tit. 26, § 26-12-114","heading":"General laws apply","body":"Said elections shall be conducted under the laws applicable to\n\nregular Primary and General Elections, except that the candidate\n\nreceiving the highest number of votes in said Primary Election shall\n\nbe deemed the nominee of his political party, provided that the\n\ndates of the elections do not coincide with the dates for the\n\nregular Primary, Runoff Primary and General Elections.
