Not fewer than fifteen (15) days before the filing period\n\nfor any regular municipal election, or in the event of a special\n\nelection, not fewer than sixty (60) days before such election, the\n\ngoverning board of any municipality shall submit a resolution to the\n\nsecretary of the county election board conducting such election.\n\nSuch resolution shall contain the following facts:\n\n1. The dates of the election or elections;\n\n2. The offices to be filled or the questions to be voted upon\n\nat such election or elections;\n\n3. Qualifications for such offices;\n\n4. Designation of which offices shall be filled by voting by\n\nward and which offices shall be filled by voting at large;\n\n5. Indication of whether the election will be partisan or\n\nnonpartisan;\n\n6. For charter cities where the charter is silent, indication\n\nof any portion of state law which will apply;\n\n7. A list of precincts partially contained within the limits of\n\nthe municipality which are eligible to be closed pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of subsection C of Section 13-103 of this title, and a\n\ncertification of whether such precincts shall be open or not open\n\nfor the election; and\n\n8. Any other information necessary for conducting said election\n\nor elections.\n\nB. In the event that a municipality governed by charter\n\nschedules a regular or special election for a municipal office on\n\nthe same date as an election involving state or federal offices, the\n\nfiling period for such municipal office shall be scheduled to meet\n\nthe requirements of Section 16-102 of Title 11 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes and of Section 3-101 of Title 26 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\nprovided, the filing period for such municipal office may be\n\nscheduled on the same dates as the filing period for state or\n\nfederal office to be filled at such election.","path":["OK Code","Title 26"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os26.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c1448a48deae9c920be106095dd76370effdbfe758719b39ad6145dfc296bd50","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-26-26-13-101.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-26-26-13-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
