Except as provided by subsection C of this section the\n\nsecretary of each county election board shall be paid an annual\n\nsalary to be determined by the following schedule. However, the\n\nsalary of a county election board secretary shall not fall below the\n\nlevel of the April 30, 2003, salary, and the salary of any person\n\nwho is reappointed to the position of county election board\n\nsecretary shall not fall below the salary received in the\n\nimmediately preceding term, regardless of the number of active\n\nregistered voters in the county. A county election board secretary\n\nshall not receive a salary increase while the county is under the\n\nadministrative supervision of the State Election Board.\n\n2. Beginning May 1, 2007, and ending April 30, 2019, the annual\n\nsalary, payable monthly shall be:\n\nRegistered Voters Salary\n\n0 to 10,000 $22,667.69\n\n10,001 to 15,000 $23,507.68\n\n15,001 to 17,500 $27,565.07\n\n17,501 to 25,000 $30,901.43\n\n25,001 to 50,000 $37,639.29\n\n50,001 to 75,000 $47,433.39\n\n75,001 to 150,000 $53,141.82\n\n150,001 or more $58,845.15\n\n3. Beginning May 1, 2019, and ending April 30, 2023, the annual\n\nsalary, payable monthly shall be:\n\nRegistered Voters Salary\n\n0 to 10,000 $26,295.00\n\n10,001 to 15,000 $27,269.00\n\n15,001 to 17,500 $31,975.00\n\n17,501 to 25,000 $35,846.00\n\n25,001 to 50,000 $43,662.00\n\n50,001 to 75,000 $55,023.00\n\n75,001 to 150,000 $61,645.00\n\n150,001 or more $68,260.00\n\n4. Beginning May 1, 2023, the annual salary, payable monthly\n\nshall be:\n\nRegistered Voters Salary\n\n0 to 10,000 $30,000.00\n\n10,001 to 15,000 $31,087.00\n\n15,001 to 17,500 $36,452.00\n\n17,501 to 25,000 $40,864.00\n\n25,001 to 50,000 $49,774.00\n\n50,001 to 75,000 $62,726.00\n\n75,001 to 150,000 $70,275.00\n\n150,001 or more $77,817.00\n\nB. The salary and fringe benefits paid to each secretary shall\n\nbe paid from county funds on a monthly basis and shall be reimbursed\n\nfrom funds appropriated by the Legislature for that purpose at a\n\nrate of not to exceed one hundred thirty-five percent (135%) of the\n\nabove-specified salaries. Claims for reimbursement shall be filed\n\naccording to procedures prescribed by the Secretary of the State\n\nElection Board and approved by the Director of the Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services. Claims for reimbursement shall\n\nonly be paid for actual expenditures made by the county. The number\n\nof registered voters, for the purposes of this section, shall be\n\ndetermined by the number of registered voters, excluding inactive\n\nvoters, in the county on January 1 of each odd-numbered year.\n\nC.
