The Secretary of the State Election Board may authorize the\n\nsecretary of any county election board to appoint additional\n\nprecinct officials, as needed to assist the regular precinct\n\nofficials.\n\nB. Additional precinct officials may include inspectors,\n\njudges, clerks or other precinct officials authorized by the\n\nSecretary of the State Election Board.\n\nC. When authorized, additional inspectors shall be compensated\n\nat the same rate as regular inspectors and other additional precinct\n\nofficials shall be compensated at the same rate as the judge and\n\nclerk.\n\nD.
