No person shall serve as a secretary of a county\n\nelection board, or as a member or alternate member of a county\n\nelection board, or as a member of an absentee voting board, or as a\n\nprecinct official, at any election in which he or she is a candidate\n\nfor office, or is a deputy or regular employee of a candidate for\n\noffice.\n\n2. Any person so disqualified shall resign the office or\n\nposition no later than ten (10) days following the close of the\n\nfiling period during which such candidacy was filed. In the event a\n\nprecinct election official or an absentee voting board member is so\n\ndisqualified, it shall be the duty of the secretary of the county\n\nelection board to appoint a suitable replacement for the affected\n\nelection.\n\nB. 1. No person shall serve as a precinct official at any\n\nelection in which he or she is related within the second degree by\n\neither consanguinity or affinity to a candidate for office on the\n\nballot in the precinct.\n\n2. No person shall serve on an absentee voting board at any\n\nelection in which he or she is related within the second degree by\n\neither consanguinity or affinity to a candidate for office on the\n\nballot in the county.\n\n3. In the event a person described herein is so disqualified,\n\nit shall be the duty of the secretary of the county election board\n\nto appoint a suitable replacement for the official for that\n\nelection.\n\nC. No person shall serve as a member, alternate member or\n\nsecretary of a county election board at any election in which he or\n\nshe is related within the second degree by either consanguinity or\n\naffinity to a candidate for office on the ballot in the county.
