Stat. tit. 26, § 26-3-119","heading":"Creation of subprecincts","body":"If fewer than one thousand five hundred (1,500) registered\n\nvoters are affected, an area constituting the maximum area possible\n\nwithout crossing boundaries of any district court judicial district\n\nelectoral division or any congressional, legislative or county\n\ncommissioner district may be designated as a subprecinct.\n\n1. Registration records shall be maintained for subprecincts in\n\nlike manner as for other precincts.\n\n2. Subprecincts need not have a polling place separate from\n\nanother precinct nor shall they be required to have separate\n\nprecinct officials.\n\n3. The secretary of the county election board may authorize\n\nregistered voters of a subprecinct to vote at a specific adjacent\n\nprecinct. Separate election materials shall be provided for the\n\nsubprecinct so that a separate certification will be made of the\n\nelection results of the subprecinct.
