Except as otherwise provided for by law, there shall be one\n\n(1) polling place for each precinct, and the polling place shall be\n\nlocated within the geographic boundaries of such precinct. The\n\nsecretary of a county election board shall determine the location of\n\npolling places within his or her county.\n\nB. 1. If compliance with subsection A of this section is not\n\npracticable, the secretary of a county election board may locate a\n\npolling place outside the geographic boundaries of the precinct,\n\nsubject to such rules and procedures as may be prescribed by the\n\nSecretary of the State Election Board.\n\n2. Prior to locating a polling place outside the geographic\n\nboundaries of a precinct, the secretary of a county election board\n\nshall notify the Secretary of the State Election Board setting forth\n\nthe reasons why such location is necessary and detailing the actions\n\ntaken to locate a polling place within the boundaries of the\n\nprecinct.\n\n3. Within fifteen (15) business days of the Secretary receiving\n\nthe notification, the State Election Board may, by majority vote,\n\nprohibit the planned polling place location and require the county\n\nelection board secretary find a more suitable location.\n\nC. Persons, businesses, churches and any other nongovernmental\n\nentities providing space for use as a polling place shall not be\n\nheld liable for any torts arising from any incident occurring in\n\nsuch space during the period when such space is used as a polling\n\nplace.\n\nD.
