Stat. tit. 26, § 26-4-110.1","heading":"Time for submission of voter registration applications","body":"- Notice of disposition.\n\nA. Voter registration applications may be submitted at any\n\ntime. However, completed applications received by the State\n\nElection Board, any county election board, any agency designated to\n\naccept voter registration applications or any licensed operator as\n\npart of a driver license or identification card application twenty-\n\nfour (24) or fewer days prior to an election; any mail application\n\npostmarked or any electronic application submitted twenty-four (24)\n\nor fewer days prior to an election or any mail application received\n\nwithout a postmark nineteen (19) or fewer days prior to an election\n\nshall not be approved for that election if the applicant's residence\n\nis located within the geographical boundaries of the entity for\n\nwhich the election is being conducted.\n\nB. No more than seven (7) days after any election, each county\n\nelection board secretary for the county of the applicant's residence\n\nshall send a notice of disposition as required in Section 4-103.1 of\n\nthis title to all persons whose voter registration applications were\n\nreceived twenty-four (24) or fewer days prior to the election.\n\nC. Registration for voting purposes occurs when a completed\n\nvoter registration application is approved by the county election\n\nboard secretary for the county of the applicant's residence and on\n\nthe date that the information is entered into the voter registration\n\ndatabase for the county of the applicant's residence.\n\nD. Registration for candidate filing or party affiliation\n\npurposes occurs at the earliest time the completed voter\n\nregistration application is received at the State Election Board,\n\nany county election board, any agency designated to accept voter\n\nregistration applications or any licensed operator as part of a\n\ndriver license or identification card application provided that the\n\napplication subsequently is approved by the secretary of the county\n\nelection board for the county of the applicant's residence; or, in\n\nthe case of mail applications, registration for candidate filing or\n\nparty affiliation purposes shall occur at the time when the\n\ncompleted voter registration application is postmarked provided that\n\nthe application subsequently is approved by the secretary of the\n\ncounty election board for the county of the applicant's residence;\n\nor, in the case of a mail application received without a postmark,\n\nregistration for candidate filing or party affiliation purposes\n\nshall occur at the earliest time when the completed application is\n\nreceived by the State Election Board or any county election board\n\nprovided that the application is subsequently approved by the\n\nsecretary of the county election board for the county of the\n\napplicant's residence.\n\nE.
