The Secretary of the State Election Board shall accept\n\nwritten notice from the United States Attorney of persons convicted\n\nof felonies in a district court of the United States. The Secretary\n\nof the State Election Board shall cause the voter registrations of\n\npersons listed in the written notice to be cancelled in the county\n\nof the person’s residence and shall notify the secretary of the\n\nappropriate county election board of the cancellation.\n\nB. The court clerk in each county shall prepare a list monthly\n\nof all persons convicted in the county of a felony and shall\n\ntransmit the list to the secretary of the county election board.\n\nThe list shall include information necessary to identify a person on\n\nthe list as a registered voter prescribed by the Secretary of the\n\nState Election Board. The secretary shall cancel the registration\n\nof registered voters in the county included on the list. The\n\nsecretary of the county election board shall forward the names of\n\nany persons on the list who are not residents of the county to the\n\nSecretary of the State Election Board. The Secretary of the State\n\nElection Board shall cause the voter registrations of persons from a\n\nlist who are forwarded to the Secretary to be cancelled in the\n\ncounty of the person’s residence.\n\nC. The Secretary of the State Election Board, secretaries of\n\ncounty election boards, and their agents and employees shall not be\n\nheld civilly liable for any action taken based upon information\n\nconcerning felony convictions received from a United States Attorney\n\nor a county court clerk pursuant to subsections A and B of this\n\nsection if a reasonable effort was made to make an accurate match of\n\nthe information provided with voter registration records before\n\ncanceling any voter’s registration.","path":["OK Code","Title 26"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os26.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6b83198463eb7ee9de4633ec985501f98399505dffb648dac79ecd470697dd86","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-26-26-4-120.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-26-26-4-120.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
