A declaration of candidacy must be accompanied by:\n\n1. A petition supporting a candidate's filing signed by not\n\nfewer than two percent (2%) of the number of registered voters in\n\nthe district, county or state, as appropriate for the office sought;\n\nor\n\n2. A cashier's check or certified check as follows:\n\na. for candidates for Governor, Two Thousand Dollars\n\n($2,000.00),\n\nb. for candidates for United States Senator, Two Thousand\n\nDollars ($2,000.00),\n\nc. for candidates for United States Congress, One\n\nThousand Dollars ($1,000.00),\n\nd. for candidates for Lieutenant Governor, Corporation\n\nCommission, Attorney General, State Auditor and\n\nInspector, State Superintendent of Public Instruction,\n\nState Treasurer, Commissioner of Insurance and\n\nCommissioner of Labor, One Thousand Dollars\n\n($1,000.00),\n\ne. for candidates for the State House of Representatives,\n\nFive Hundred Dollars ($500.00),\n\nf. for candidates for the State Senate, Seven Hundred\n\nFifty Dollars ($750.00),\n\ng. for candidates for District Judge or Associate\n\nDistrict Judge, Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00),\n\nh. for candidates for District Attorney, Five Hundred\n\nDollars ($500.00), and\n\ni. for candidates for county office, Three Hundred\n\nDollars ($300.00).\n\nB. A filing fee received by the Secretary of the State Election\n\nBoard shall be deposited in the State Election Board Revolving Fund\n\ncreated pursuant to Section 3-107 of this title.
