Stat. tit. 26, § 26-6-106","heading":"Manner of printing ballot cards for general election","body":"The official ballot for the General Election shall be printed so\n\nthat the nominees of the various political parties and nonpartisan\n\ncandidates will appear in order as determined according to this\n\nsection. For each section of the ballot for which there are\n\npartisan candidates, the candidates of the recognized parties shall\n\nbe printed first in lot order followed by candidates of unrecognized\n\nparties in lot order followed by independent candidates in lot\n\norder. Candidates of recognized and unrecognized parties shall be\n\nprinted in the lot order of their respective party. Each political\n\nparty shall have the right to select an emblem to be used in\n\ndesignating its candidates on the ballot; provided, however, that no\n\nparty shall be allowed to use the coat of arms or seal of Oklahoma\n\nor of the United States, or the respective flags thereof. Until\n\nchanged by resolution of a political party, in state convention, the\n\nemblem of the Democratic party shall be a rooster and that of the\n\nRepublican party an eagle. Change in a party emblem shall be\n\nauthorized by the Secretary of the State Election Board only after\n\nreceipt of written notice of the change by the Secretary from the\n\nstate central committee of a party. At the top of each ballot on\n\nwhich there are partisan candidates shall appear the name of each\n\nrecognized party with the emblem of the party in lot order as\n\nprescribed by the Secretary of the State Election Board. The name\n\nof the office entitled to the first place, preceded by the word\n\n\"for\", shall appear in bold type, as \"For Governor\". Immediately\n\nafter same shall be the names of the nominees for such office\n\nprinted with the name of the nominee's party followed by candidates\n\nwho file as Independents for such office printed with the word\n\n\"Independent\". The list shall be continued, naming the officers in\n\nthe order in which they are set out by the Constitution and\n\nstatutes, until all the nominees are given space.
