Stat. tit. 26, § 26-7-107","heading":"Empty ballot box - Tape verifying no counted votes","body":"When all else is in readiness for the opening of the polls, the\n\ninspector shall, in view of the judge, clerk and any registered\n\nvoters at the polling place, confirm that the ballot box is empty\n\nand locked and shall cause the voting device to print out a paper\n\ntape to verify that no votes have been counted. This tape shall\n\nremain attached to the voting device and in evidence throughout the\n\nvoting process.
