Stat. tit. 26, § 26-8-109","heading":"Time for filing contest - Contests alleging","body":"irregularities or fraud.\n\nAny candidate whose name appeared on a Primary, Runoff Primary\n\nor General Election ballot, or any individual authorized to request\n\na recount pursuant to Section 8-111 of this title may, at any time\n\nbefore 5:00 p.m. Friday next following an election, contest the\n\ncorrectness of the announced results of said election by filing a\n\nwritten petition with the appropriate election board.
