Stat. tit. 26, § 26-8-110","heading":"Sheriff to provide security for ballot boxes or transfer","body":"cases.\n\nIt shall be the duty of the sheriff in each county to provide\n\nsecurity for the ballot boxes or transfer cases from the time the\n\nballot boxes or transfer cases are stored by the county election\n\nboard following an election until the election results have been\n\ncertified or, in the event a recount contest is filed, until such\n\ntime as the ballot boxes or transfer cases are delivered to the\n\ndistrict courtroom.
