No person shall distribute, receive for sale or offer for\n\nsale in this state any plastic bottle or rigid plastic container\n\nunless such container is labeled with a code identifying the\n\nappropriate resin type used to produce the structure of the\n\ncontainer.\n\nB. The code shall consist of a number placed within three\n\ntriangulated arrows and letters placed below the triangle of arrows.\n\nThe triangulated arrows shall be equilateral, formed by three arrows\n\nwith the apex of each point of the triangle at the midpoint of each\n\narrow, rounded with a short radius. The pointer (arrowhead) of each\n\narrow shall be at the midpoint of each side of the triangle with a\n\nshort gap separating the pointer from the base of the adjacent\n\narrow. The triangle, formed by the three arrows curved at their\n\nmidpoints shall depict a clockwise path around the code number. The\n\nnumbers and letters used shall be as follows:\n\n1. = PETE (polyethylene terephthalate);\n\n2. = HDPE (high density polyethylene);\n\n3. = V (vinyl);\n\n4. = LDPE (low density polyethylene);\n\n5. = PP (polypropylene);\n\n6. = PS (polystyrene);\n\n7. = OTHER.\n\nC. The Department shall maintain a list of the label codes\n\nprovided in subsection B of this section and shall provide a copy of\n\nthat list to any person upon request.\n\nD. The Board may promulgate by rule a different plastic\n\ncontainer labeling system than the one specified in this statute if\n\nthere is any change in the nationally recognized standard codified\n\nherein.\n\nE.
