An applicant who has paid the required nonrefundable\n\ncertification fees and has complied with the requirements of this\n\narticle and rules promulgated thereunder, including, but not limited\n\nto, education, training, experience and examination prerequisites,\n\nshall be certified by the Department of Environmental Quality.\n\nB. The Department may waive some or all of its testing,\n\ntraining, experience, or examination requirements for certification\n\nif the applicant presents a currently valid certificate or license\n\nissued to him by another state or certifying agency or institution\n\nor national nonprofit organization for lead-based paint services, if\n\nthe Department finds that the certification requirements of the\n\nissuer in effect at the time of issuance are equivalent to its\n\ncertification requirements; provided, however, that no certification\n\nshall be issued under this subsection unless the holder of the\n\ncertificate would be issued a similar certificate or license by such\n\nother state, certifying agency, or organization under substantially\n\nthe same conditions.\n\nC. Any certificate issued under this section shall be renewed\n\nby the April 1 occurring not more than one year after the date of\n\nthe most recent date of issuance, renewal, reactivation or\n\nreinstatement. Thereafter, the certificate may be renewed for a\n\none-year period beginning April 1 and ending March 31 of the\n\nfollowing year.\n\nD. A certificate shall be renewed upon approval of the\n\nDepartment. Application for such renewal shall be submitted to the\n\nDepartment on forms prescribed by the Department, shall be\n\naccompanied by a nonrefundable renewal fee as set by the Board and\n\nshall include documentation that the applicant has met the annual\n\nrenewal requirements of the Department. The Department shall allow\n\na thirty-day grace period for such renewals without payment of late\n\nfees, provided the applicant submits the required renewal fee and\n\nqualifies for such renewal.\n\nE. A certificate which is not so renewed shall expire on April\n\n30 after the thirty-day grace period, and shall have no further\n\nvalidity unless the Department, upon receipt of an application from\n\nthe holder of the expired certificate within one (1) year after the\n\ncertificate's March 31 renewal date, reactivates and renews such\n\ncertificate. Such reactivation and renewal application shall\n\ninclude the submission of data on forms prescribed by the\n\nDepartment, nonrefundable renewal and reactivation late fees as set\n\nby the Environmental Quality Board, and documentation that the\n\napplicant has met the Department's renewal requirements. A\n\nreactivated certificate may be renewed annually thereafter as\n\nprovided in this section.\n\nF. The holder of an expired and unreactivated certificate shall\n\nnot be issued any new certificate unless the certificate holder\n\napplies and qualifies therefor pursuant to this article and rules\n\npromulgated thereunder.\n\nG. Any certificate issued pursuant to the Oklahoma Lead-based\n\nPaint Management Act may contain such conditions or restrictions as\n\nthe Department shall deem necessary or appropriate.\n\nH.
