The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, State\n\nDepartment of Health, Oklahoma Tax Commission, Oklahoma Water\n\nResources Board, Oklahoma Department of Labor and Department of\n\nMines, in addition to the other powers and duties vested by Oklahoma\n\nlaw, shall be authorized to relocate agency offices to a site in\n\nOklahoma County including but not limited to buildings or units, as\n\ndefined by the Unit Ownership Estate Act provided in Section 503 of\n\nTitle 60 of the Oklahoma Statutes, owned by the Commissioners of the\n\nLand Office.\n\nB. The new office location or locations shall be occupied by\n\nthe Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, State Department of\n\nHealth, Oklahoma Tax Commission, Oklahoma Water Resources Board,\n\nOklahoma Department of Labor and Department of Mines and shall\n\nconsist of sufficient square footage to accommodate staff offices,\n\nprogram areas, staff conference areas, records and computer areas,\n\ngeneral storage areas, security equipment storage areas, main room,\n\nreception areas and other necessary areas for operation of the state\n\nagencies.\n\nC. The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, State\n\nDepartment of Health, Oklahoma Tax Commission, Oklahoma Water\n\nResources Board, Oklahoma Department of Labor and Department of\n\nMines are authorized to purchase real estate including but not\n\nlimited to buildings or units, for no more than appraised value or,\n\nin the alternative, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Tourism and\n\nRecreation Department, Oklahoma Tax Commission, Oklahoma Water\n\nResources Board, Commissioner of Labor and Oklahoma Mining\n\nCommission are authorized to enter into a lease-purchase agreement\n\nfor the acquisition of such buildings or units from the person or\n\nentity that will develop or build the buildings or units. In order\n\nto maintain the value of the purchased or lease-purchase property,\n\neach state agency identified in this section may establish a Capital\n\nAccount Fund for the purpose of paying any proportionate share of\n\ncommon area maintenance, repair and maintenance of agency unit(s),\n\nfixtures and appliances contained therein, improvements and\n\nbetterments for agency unit(s) and all required maintenance and\n\nrepair work. The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to\n\nfiscal year limitations, and shall consist of monies transferred\n\nfrom the agency's standard appropriations. All monies accruing to\n\nthe credit of the fund are hereby appropriated and may be budgeted\n\nand expended by the agency for the purpose described in this\n\nsection. For the purposes of the purchase or build-out of the new\n\noffice location, the state agencies identified in this section are\n\nhereby exempted from the requirements of the Public Competitive\n\nBidding Act of 1974 as provided in Sections 101 through 139 of Title\n\n61 of the Oklahoma Statutes. The state agencies identified in this\n\nsection shall, either individually or through the Commissioners of\n\nthe Land Office, be required to collect multiple bids from qualified\n\ncontractors for the build-out of new office locations.","path":["OK Code","Title 27A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os27A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cdf2621aa522f79e398939f9c1082ca949639f5f5f2e1310175026c1792858f9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-27a-27a-2-3-109","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-27a-27a-2-3-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
