Stat. tit. 27A, § 27A-2-6-107","heading":"Definition – Gray water","body":"A. \"Gray water\" means untreated household wastewater that has\n\nnot come in contact with toilet waste and includes wastewater from\n\nbathtubs, showers, washbasins, clothes washing machines and laundry\n\ntubs and untreated municipal wastewater limited to wastewater\n\ncaptured from municipal splash pads and water used by fire\n\ndepartments for cleaning equipment and vehicles. Gray water shall\n\nnot include wastewater from kitchen sinks, kitchen dishwashers or\n\nlaundry water from the washing of material soiled with human\n\nexcreta, such as diapers.\n\nB. The definition of gray water in subsection A of this section\n\nshall apply only in municipalities enacting ordinances regulating\n\nthe use of gray water within the limits of their municipal\n\nboundaries.\n\nC. The Department of Environmental Quality shall not require a\n\npermit for reusing captured wastewater from a splash pad for\n\nirrigation or land application, with or without intermediary storage\n\nunits, if the splash pad is within the jurisdictional boundaries of\n\na municipality or county that has enacted an ordinance or resolution\n\nregulating the management of wastewater from splash pads and the\n\nordinance or resolution, at a minimum, includes the same conditions\n\nand restrictions as set forth in paragraphs 5, 8, 11, and 12 of\n\nsubsection A of Section 2-6-108 of this title.
