Stat. tit. 27A, § 27A-2-6-202","heading":"Definitions","body":"For purposes of the Oklahoma Pollutant Discharge Elimination\n\nSystem Act:\n\n1. \"Discharge\" includes but is not limited to a discharge of a\n\npollutant or pollutants, and means any addition of any pollutant to\n\nwaters of the state from any point source regulated by the\n\nDepartment of Environmental Quality;\n\n2. \"Effluent limitation\" means any established restriction on\n\nquantities, rates, and concentrations of chemical, physical,\n\nbiological, and other constituents which are discharged from point\n\nsources into waters of the state, including schedules of compliance;\n\n3. \"Organization\" means a legal entity, other than a\n\ngovernment, established or organized for any purpose, and such term\n\nincludes a corporation, company, association, firm, partnership,\n\njoint stock company, foundation, institution, trust, society, union,\n\nor any other association of persons;\n\n4. \"Point source\" means any discernible, confined and discrete\n\nconveyance, including but not limited to any pipe, ditch, channel,\n\ntunnel, conduit, well, discrete fissure, container, rolling stock,\n\nor vessel or other floating craft, from which pollutants or wastes\n\nare or may be discharged. The term \"point source\" does not include\n\nagricultural stormwater discharges and return flows from irrigated\n\nagriculture;\n\n5. \"Pretreatment\" means the reduction of the amount of\n\npollutants, or the alteration of the nature of pollutant properties\n\nin wastewater prior to or in lieu of discharging or otherwise\n\nintroducing into a treatment works;\n\n6. \"Schedule of compliance\" means a schedule of remedial\n\nmeasures including but not limited to an enforceable sequence of\n\nactions or operations leading to compliance with an effluent\n\nlimitation, other limitation, prohibition, or standard;\n\n7. \"Serious bodily injury\" means bodily injury which involves a\n\nsubstantial risk of death, unconsciousness, extreme physical pain,\n\nprotracted and obvious disfigurement, or protracted loss or\n\nimpairment of the function of a bodily member, organ, or mental\n\nfaculty; and\n\n8. \"Storm water\" means rain water runoff, snow melt runoff, and\n\nsurface runoff and drainage.","path":["OK Code","Title 27A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os27A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7528c4a214d973ba0df4ff8026194f008704848be6a32bf68e908d7c5ae3c55e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-27a-27a-2-6-201","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-27a-27a-2-6-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
